I typically stick to the Portrait picture style on both the Canon EOS R5 and the Canon EOS R. I’d never use the Landscape setting for portraits, for example. With any User Defined Picture Style that has not yet been registered, pictures will be taken with the same characteristics settings as with the default settings of Standard.
